Environment Policy 35
Requires development within Conservation Areas to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Area, protecting special features. The officer assessed the amended door proposal as more reflective of expected style for the traditional cottage, thus preserving character, unlike the original windows which were unsuitable.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Approved door designs
For clarification, this approval relates to the replacement of the front door with that shown in the illustration titled, "Ludlow" and relating only to the door on the left which has no decorative glazing. The rear door may be replaced by any of the doors shown in the submitted images. Reason: to clarify the extent of the approval granted and to ensure that the door is appropriate for the character of the property.
