27 June 2006 · Delegated - Director of Planning and Building Control (M. I. McCauley)
Mullinaragher, Mullinaragher Road, St. Marks, Ballasalla, Isle Of Man, IM9 3aq
The proposal involved rebuilding an existing rear lean-to annex on the registered building Mullinaragher to create a bathroom extension, differing from the previously approved scheme (PA 04/00094/GB) by replacing more of the western rear elevation fabric and adding a flue.

The proposal replaces more existing fabric than previously permitted under PA 04/00094/GB but was deemed 'not unacceptable' because the altered rear elevation is not visible from the public highway.
Alterations and Extensions to a Registered Building
Policy RB/S governs alterations and extensions to registered buildings. The Conservation Officer assessed that these works have a minimal affect on the Registered Building (RB209) and do not detrimentally alter its character. The proposal was viewed in progress on site, with acceptance of tree removal and demolition reasons.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Approved drawings
This approval relates to the re-building of the existing rear lean-to annex as shown in drawings received on 20th March, 2006.
Materials matching
The extension must be rebuilt in materials to match the existing, ideally re-using stone taken from the extension which was demolished.
Stonework sample panel
Prior to the commencement of the development, a sample panel of stonework must be prepared (to indicate lime mortar pointing, stone type and coursing) on site, for inspection by the Conservation Officer and approval by the Planning Authority.
Slate sample
Prior to the commencement of works, a sample of the slate must be approved by the Planning Authority.
