General Policy 2
GP2 provides guidance for development in accordance with land use zoning, with relevant criteria that it respects site and surroundings in siting, layout, scale, form, design (b), does not adversely affect surrounding townscape character (c), and does not adversely affect resident amenity or locality character (g). The officer considered these despite the proposal not being strictly per zoning, given the site's existing institutional use. The non-visible nature of the corridor from public view satisfied these tests with no adverse impacts identified.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with Article 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2019 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
