General Policy 2
GP2 permits development that meets various criteria including respecting the character of the surrounding area (2(c)) and not having an unacceptable effect on road safety or traffic flows (2(i)). The Inspector assessed the proposal against these, finding the visual improvements enhanced the street scene in the residential area and the access widening with footpaths and crossings improved safety. No tensions were noted; both aspects were clearly met.

The development hereby approved shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
