Proposal: Erection of a single storey workshop adjacent to existing Science and Technology Block at: and Technology Block Ballakermeen High School St. Catherines Drive Douglas IM1 4BE which was considered on 3 March 2004, subject to compliance with the conditions specified on the attached schedule.

Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, bylaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No works may be commenced until such time as -
- the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or
- any review of the initial decision has been completed; or
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to the decision has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.

- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- Prior to the commencement of building operations, there must be erected a barrier which will protect the boundary hedge from damage during construction works; should there be any such damage, this must be remedied by appropriate replanting once construction has finished.
- The principal means of entry to, and the means of escape in the event of fire from the workshop must be suitable for use by unassisted wheelchair users.
NOTE It is unlikely that further extensions to Ballakermeen High School will be permitted until there is in place an approved master plan for the long-term development of the school.
NOTE It is recommended that the Fire Safety Department should be consulted regarding all aspects of fire safety.
