GP6 permits external advertisements in towns/villages if high standard design/materials relating well to building/site, in keeping without detracting from area, and not causing highway safety hazard. Officer found the proposal satisfies all tests: signage/canopy improves industrial elevation, does not detract from surroundings, and canopy height condition addresses highway safety over parking area.
Time limit

Approved plans
This approval relates to the erection of advertising signage and canopy, as shown in drawing numbers PTA-36-01 and PTA-36-02, in addition to the A4 page of photographs showing details of elliptical or French style canopies, all date stamped 27 January 2011.

The canopy must be a minimum of 2.3 metres above ground level.
