Environment Policy 32

Time limit
The works hereby granted registered building consent shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this consent. The works, hereby approved, relate to the submitted statements 'Town Hall Remedial Works - Registered Building' and 'Planning Queries - Town Hall Remedial Works (External) 2018 - Registered Building [18/00311/CON & 18/00310/GB]', as well as the emails from the applicant dated 25 July 2018 and 14 August 2018. No works shall be carried out except in accordance with these details. Reason: In the avoidance of doubt and in accordance with Environment Policy 32 and Environment Policy 34 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016 and Policies RB/3 and RB/5 of Planning Policy Statement 1/01.
Matching materials
All work of making good shall be finished to match exactly the existing building fabric in respect of type, size, colour, bond, pointing, coursing, jointing, profile and texture. All new or refurbished internal and external joinery work shall match exactly the materials, finish, dimensions and profiles of the existing joinery work. Reason: To ensure the satisfactory preservation of this registered building and in the interests of the character and appearance of the site and surrounding area in accordance with Environment Policy 32 and Environment Policy 34 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2016 and Policies RB/3 and RB/5 of Planning Policy Statement 1/01.
Frieze works details
Prior to the commencement of works to the friezes on the north and east elevation, details and a method statement, including but not limited to details of the contractor to carry out works and examples of their work, shall be submitted to and approved in writing by, the Department. The works shall not be carried out unless in accordance with the approved details.
