Planning Circular 1/98 'The Alteration and Replacement of Windows' Policy 7
The policy requires replacement windows in principal elevations visible from public thoroughfares to have the same or similar pattern and section of glazing bars and frame sections as the originals, preferring the same method of opening. The officer assessed that the proposed PVC casements replicate the glazing bar pattern of the original windows. No tension as the property is not Registered or in a Conservation Area, and screening reduced visibility concerns.
