Officer's Report

The proposal is for the erection of an equipment cabin alongside the existing mast. The proposal work is to allow the switchover from the analogue television signal to the digital television signal to occur. The cabin will be colour coated green and will be located next to the mast. It is considered the cabin will not adversely affect the visual amenities of the area. I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.

C 1.

The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2.

This permission relates to the erection of an equipment cabin as shown in drawing numbers 50387_00_04_01, 50387_50_160_M12_12, 50387_50_150_M12_12, 50387_50_100_M12_12 date stamped 21st May 20 2008, Written Statement in support of the Application prepared by National Grid Wireless dated May 2008.

C 3.

In the event of the equipment cabin erected under this approval becomes redundant it must be taken down and removed from the site within 3 months of the cessation of use.

C 4.

Within one month of the installation of the equipment cabin hereby approved, it shall be colour coated green. Any replacement or modification shall be colour coated to match within one month of it being carried out.
