The site is within the Ramsey Conservation Area, but the replacement windows are to the rear elevation, not apparent from surrounding public highways and street scenes.
Planning Policy Statement 1/01 - Policy CA/2 (Conservation Areas)
Policy CA/2 and Planning Circular 1/98 emphasise retaining/maintaining the architectural character of the Conservation Area. The works were assessed considering the rear location not readily overlooked by the public and the existing mix of window types in poor repair. The uniform replacement style was accepted as an improvement without visible public impact.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
