Environment Policy 35
Policy ENV35 states that within Conservation Areas, the Department will permit only development which would preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Area, and will ensure that special features contributing to the character and quality are protected against inappropriate development. The officer tested the replacement windows against this by comparing them visually to the originals via submitted photographs. The assessment found no perceivable difference, confirming preservation of character with no adverse impact.
