Planning Circular 1/98, The Alteration and Replacement of Windows
Planning Circular 1/98 sets out the Planning Authority's policies on the alteration and replacement of windows, requiring that replacement windows have the same method of opening, frame sections and glazing bars as the originals. The officer assessed that the proposed hardwood sliding sash windows replicate these exact features of the existing timber sliding sash windows. This full compliance made the proposal acceptable.
