Introduction
This landscaping scheme has been drawn up to fulfil condition 5 of the planning approval (approved 11th January 2008).
Existing trees and hedges within the site
There are no trees or hedges within the area where the building is going to be erected.
Landscaping
The site is to be levelled to the lowest part of the area (north of site).
Retaining bank to be constructed along the southern length of building area.
Trees and hedges
30 to 40 mixed broadleaf trees to be planted on the retaining bank. These to include trees known to grow well in the area e.g. blackthorn, beech, mountain ash and alder. Advice to be obtained from DAFF if required.
Trees to be planted once the soil in the bank has settled. Trees which fail to survive to be replaced with the same or similar if possible. Existing trees and hedge to the north of the site to be retained as far as practically. The bank, trees to be planted, existing trees and hedges will reduce the visual impact of the new building.
