Environment Policy 15
ENV15 permits new agricultural buildings in the countryside where there is agricultural need outweighing general policy against development, sited close to existing building groups, appropriate in scale, materials, colour, siting and form to be sympathetic to landscape. Officer assessed the proposal as compliant due to proximity to existing farm group, suitable materials (fibre cement roof, steel sheeting, space boards), protection of residential amenity, and conditioning of landscaping for screening. No tension noted as siting and design met policy tests.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
Approved plans
This permission relates to the plans annotated PD-001, PD-002, PD-003, PD-004, PD-005 and PD-006 submitted and date stamped 30th October 2007.
Agricultural use only
The building must be used for agricultural purposes only.
Roof colour
The roof must be dark grey or green in colour.
Landscaping scheme
No development may commence until there has been approved by the Planning Authority a scheme of landscaping which includes indications of all existing trees and hedges within the site and details of any to be retained together with measures for their protection during the course of construction. There must also be an indication of additional planting to the north and south of the building to provide an adequate level of screening. All planting, seeding or turfing comprised in the approved details of landscaping must be carried out in the first planting and seeding seasons following the completion of the development. Any trees or plants which within a period of five years from the completion of the development die, are removed, or become seriously damaged or diseased must be replaced in the next planting season with others of a similar size and species.
