Housing Policy 15
The policy permits extensions to traditionally styled countryside properties only if they respect the proportion, form, and appearance of the existing property, and limits additional floor space to 50% except exceptionally. The officer tested the rear garage roof replacement with pitched roof adding modest bedroom/en-suite space, finding it visually appropriate and compliant due to its scale and subservient location.
