Officer Planning Report Recommendations
Planning Report And Recommendations {{table:293469}} ### Considerations {{table:293465}} ### Written Representations ### Consultations {{table:293466}} We do object however to the replacement of the door and frame. These are an integral part of the original house design and there is nothing in the application to indicate that they need to be replaced let alone repaired. The Planning Committee have in the past refused door and frame replacements yet approving window replacement in a property at the same time. We would ask that the same policy apply in this case. {{table:293467}} {{table:293468}}
Officer’s Report
The application site is within a Conservation Area. The proposal was originally to replace the windows and the front door. However, concern was expressed regarding the appropriateness of the new front door. The applicant has now withdrawn the door from the scheme (letter dated the 5th June). This also addresses the concerns of the Isle of Man Victorian Society. The replacement
windows are considered to be appropriate for the Conservation Area. I therefore recommend that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
Party Status
The Department of Transport and the local authority are, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status.
The Isle of Man Victorian Society have commented on planning matters. However, I recommend that the Society should not be afforded party status.
