Key concern: unsuitable stainless steel backlit signage in historic context
Ramsey Heritage Trust
Conditional No ObjectionThe proposals as illustrated should constitute an improvement on the current appearance of the building, with one exception, the proposed signage.; we question whether stainless steel backlit by blue-code cathode lighting is the best signage solution. It seems both unsuitable and rather unimaginative.; One possible follow-through would be faux-Victorian signage.; We would not suggest using the decorative bracket fixed to the wall at first-floor level; swinging signs, in the light of local weather conditions, can be hazardous.; We are not clear as to the reason for the "decorative interior guardrail".
