28th September 2006.
RECEIVED ON 29 SEP 2006
Ms J Callow Secretary to the Planning Committee Office of Planning Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas.
Dear Ms Callow,
Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following planning applications and their views are:-
a) 06/1413. Level House, The Level. Mr Spiers & Mrs Quinn. New block construction garage, rendered and painted to match main house as per PA 05/9230, with slate finish truss roof also to match main house. No objections.
b) 06/1430. In Principle. Plot adjacent to Ambleside, Qualtrough’s Lane, Ballafesson. Mr W A Wilson. Approval in Principle for bungalow and garage for residential use. No objections
c) 06/1377. Stonycroft, The Howe. Mr & Mrs S Shimmin. Removal of existing timber windows on front elevation, installation of pvc casement windows. No objections.
d) 06/1512. Ny Croityn, Howe Road. 06/1512. Ny Croityn, Howe Road. J E & J Knowles. Replace dark stained windows on front elevation of house with mahogany look alike pvc; replace front door & side panel with mahogany look alike pvc. No objections.
e) 02/1097. Part of field 2368, Croit e Caley. Hartford Homes. Amendment – amendments are ‘replacement of previously proposed 2.3m high hit and miss timber boarded fence with 1.8m high (overall height from ground level) dark brown wicker fence; confirmation of retention of existing stone boundary wall at approx. 1.2m high as
existing; confirmation of retention and protection during works of existing sycamore, willow and fuchsia hedging adjacent to road boundary.
No objections, but it should be stressed to the developer that they should retain the existing stone walls and trees. Residents in the area have given me to believe that they have knocked down a wall and taken out willows and fuchsias which belong to an adjoining property.
f) 06/0906. Part of Field 2368, Croit-e-Caley. Hartford Homes. Amendment. As above.
g) 06/1581. Rushen Primary School, Church Road. DoE. Extension of existing car park (by the kitchen) and creation of safe play area.
No objections but the Commissioners feel that the DoE should be considering purchasing part of the field adjoining to make a safe drop off and pick up car park.
Yours sincerely,
Gillian Kelly (Mrs) Clerk
