Officer's Report
The building is located within Ramsey Conservation Area. The windows originally proposed were considered unacceptable and would harm the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. Negotiations have taken place between the Conservation Officer and the applicant regarding the style of the windows to be installed in the front elevation. A compromise has been reached between and has formally been submitted to substitute the original plans. It is considered on balance the revised plans are acceptable and would not adversely affect the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. I therefore recommend that Planning Permission be granted.
I consider that the following should be granted party status due to them being a Statutory Consultee:
- Ramsey Town Commissioners
- The Department of Transport Highways Division.
I consider that the following do not meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should not be afforded interested party status:
- SPMCE
