This should align with the proposed driveway and protect the underground services. Exit visibility at 2.4 x 25m in each direction is more than suitable for the location and context towards the end of Norwood Drive where speeds are likely to be less than 20mph. There is a telecom chamber and water meter within the footway would be overrun on use. No construction details have been submitted to verify suitability and would be require d for the technical review under a s109(A) Highway Agreement after grant of any planning consent. The proposal indicates adequate driveway length in excess of 5.5m as well as width for both pedestrian and vehicle shared use plus two side by side car parking at 6.0m (3.4 +2.6m) compliant with the minimum under the IOM Strategic Plan car parking standards, but converts the entire front garden to hardstanding which may require further review by Planning. Run off / surface water must be contained through a drainage scheme within the site to prevent water from flowing out onto or damaging the public road.
