Officer's Report

The planning application seeks approval for the construction of a ramp to the front of a property in Laxey and its extension to accommodate a lift shaft.

There are no objections to the planning application. DAFF have recommended that the works to accommodate the lift shaft be restricted to either April, May, September or October so as to prevent harm to the local resident bat population. I recommend that the planning application be approved.

C 1. The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

C 2. This approval relates to drawing no.s BS:5024/01, BS:5024/02, BS:5024/04, BS:5024/05 and BS5025:SL1 date stamped the 25th October 2005.

C 3. In order to prevent harm to the native bat population works required in relation to the accommodation of the lift shaft may only be undertaken in either April, May, September or October in any one year.

N 1. The applicant is advised to contact the Fire Safety Officer to discuss the provision of appropriate fire precaution measures.
