Officer's Report
The application seeks approval for the erection of a conservatory onto an existing first floor balcony area, the renewal of an existing walkway and the rendering of a façade on a property in Albert Road, Ramsey.
I consider the renewal of the walkway and the rendering of the façade to be relatively minor and unobjectionable. I would suggest that the main element of the proposed development is the conservatory and therefore believe that the main consideration is the impact of that element. In terms of that element I consider that despite its size there are actually no detrimental impacts arising from it, either in terms of overlooking and subsequent loss of privacy or visual impact. Therefore, I recommend the planning application be approved.
