In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 29 April 2005, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:

1. The extension by reason of its size and massing, and in particular, the length of the proposed ridge and its position, which it to be flush with the gable of the existing dwelling; would have a detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the cottage as seen from the adjacent highway.
