In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 10 February 2005, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The existing building is of considerable architectural interest and attraction; the installation of "Velux" roof-lights as proposed would be out of keeping with the original architecture and would affect adversely this interest and attraction.
NOTE This decision is without prejudice to an application for "Heritage" style roof-lights of the same size as the existing lights.
NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
