The proposed replacement of the existing PVC windows with new units with the central transform. In addition, it is proposed to replace the poor aluminum front door with a PVC unit. My preference would always be to encourage the re-instatement of the original windows (form and pattern. In this case) painted timber sliding back. Given that the whole terrace sports badly detailed PVC windows the application can be seen as an enhancement. I would however, request that the door and screen are re-introduced. The door screen should be painted timber to watch it.
