This application follows PA 03/1330, which in turn followed PA01/2538 when Aip was granted for the renovation of a former cottage and barn, The previous application was refused as it was considered that the design and appearance of the proposed extensions and link building did not accord with the spirit of the Inspectors letter of recommendation and was contrary to the provisions of Planning circular 3/89.
The application has been amended but not following consultation with Officers. As such, this full detailed application (as opposed to an application for Reserved Matters) it is considered does not accord with the original approval in principle.

It is considered that the proposed extensions, by reason of their size and design would significantly detract from the character and appearance of the buildings as highlighted in the Inspectors Report in respect of PA01/2553. In addition, the proposals do not overcome the reason for refusal in relation to PA 03/1330.
