Officer's Report
It is proposed to locate a fuel tank and dispenser pump at the Alfred Pier, Port St Mary, adjacent the lighthouse.
An objection to the development states that the tank should be located underground, and whilst I consider this would be the most acceptable solution, I also consider that as an engineering option, this would prove difficult to achieve. In addition, by placing above the ground it would also be easily removed when required.
Nick Black has advised that he considered the proposal to be unobjectionable, and whilst the tank and pump would be visible, I consider the proposal to be acceptable.
