TOLK OF MAN PLANNING SCHOOLS (DEVELOPMENT PLAN) ORDER 1982

In pursuance of their powers under the above Acts and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the application made by you.
Extension of existing quarry, Stoney Mountain Quarry, Malow.
Which was considered at a meeting held on the 14th January 1994, subject to the compliance with the conditions or modifications specified on the attached schedule, numbered 1 to 15.

Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town & Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, byelaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No WORKS MAY BE CORRENCED UNTIL SUCH TIME AS - a) the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or b) any review of the initial decision has been completed; or c) the time for requesting an appeal in relation to any decision at review has expired; or d) any appeal has been completed. Note 3: Rights of review against the decision of the Planning Committee are attached.

The working hours of the operations on the site shall be restricted to Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700, Saturday 0800 - 1200. The site shall not be operated on Sundays and Bank Holidays. For the purpose of this condition operations include drilling, blasting, movement, crushing and screening of rock and grading of overburden.
10 There shall be no tipping of materials generated from outwith the site.
11 To ensure safe working of the site the following practices must be adopted:
Separate planning application must be made for any new building, fixed plant and equipment.
12 No advertisement matter of any description shall be exhibited at this site without the PRICE written permission of the Committee.
13 Hans National Trustees shall be advised, in advance of the start of site clearance operations and given the opportunity of inspecting the site from the commencement of earth movement and during the excavation of all trenches (including service trenches) as deemed necessary and of investigating any archaeological features exposed.
15 All workmen on the site should be informed of the sensitive nature of the site so that any finds and/or traces of archaeological activity can be reported promptly to the Hans Museum in accordance with Hans Law. Attention is drawn to the requirements of the Hans Museum and National Trust Act 1952/86.
SEQUENCE OF CONDITIONS Application No. 52/1188 NOTE 1: Prior to the commencement of development a licence/issue must be obtained from the Department of Industry.
NOTE 2: Prior to the commencement of development a felling licence must be obtained from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Amenity and Lands Division.
NOTE 3: The applicant is recommended to take action to ensure that all public highways to the quarry are kept clear of parked and scrap vehicles, particularly at the junctions of the site access road and the Stoney Mountain Road and the Stoney Mountain Road and Eairy (H36) Road, so that there is no damage to private property by quarry related vehicles turning/manoeuvring.
NOTE 4: It is noted that the location of the quarry is incorrectly shown on drawing number IHM 0002/001D/03.
NOTE 5: The Health and Safety Inspector advises that adequate provision must be made for the safety, health and welfare of all persons who may be affected by the undertaking and there must be compliance with the appropriate statutory requirements including in particular the requirements of the following legislation to the satisfaction of the Department of Local Government and the Environment and, as the case may be, the Chief Health and Safety Inspector and the Chief Constable.

NOTE 6: The applicant is advised to discuss further the landscaping proposals in accordance with the letter dated 18th January 1994 (copy attached) from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
