Environment Policy 35
Policy requires that within Conservation Areas, only development preserving or enhancing the character/appearance is permitted, protecting special features. Officer tested the porch replacement against this, finding the existing timber porch not a special feature despite its material, and the uPVC proposal of similar form/appearance preserves character. No enhancement needed as preservation achieved.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
