Environment Policy 35
EP35 states that within Conservation Areas, the Department will permit only development which would preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Area, and will ensure that special features contributing to the character and quality are protected against inappropriate development. The officer assessed the replacement windows against this policy, finding that the timber sliding sash design reinstates the original appearance, enhancing the building and Conservation Area. No tensions were noted.

The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
