no objection to the proposals
site in residential area with non-conforming joinery use producing noise/dust/traffic; residential better matches surroundings with on-site undercover parking
J.E. Skinner objects strongly to the partial retrospective conversion due to historical inaccuracies, parking issues, poor amenity, overlooking, and procedural concerns; Douglas Corporation and Highways Division both have no objection.
Key concern: parking problems and road safety exacerbated by commercial use and additional residential vehicles
J.E. Skinner
ObjectionI wish to object to the above application; the current tenants of the ground floor accommodation have been operating a commercial cleaning business from here for three years which is exacerbating the parking problems; From the application premises there is a degree of overlooking into the kitchen, bathroom and rear bedrooms of 6 Berkeley Street; Access to the property will not be particularly safe as the introduction of more vehicles to the narrow lanes will exacerbate the congestion
Conditions requested: ALL windows facing onto Berkeley Street Lane fitted with opaque glazing
