Refusal Notice 10/01452/B
Town and Country Planning Act 1999
Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
M P Associates Ltd 12 Strathallan Crescent Douglas Isle Of Man IM2 4NR
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the Department of Infrastructure does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Braeside Developments Proposal: Erection of a replacement dwelling (comprising amendments to PA 10/0078B) at: Ballacallin Cottages Gordon Peel Isle Of Man IM5 3AR
which was considered on 30th November 2010, for the reasons set out below. Date of Issue: 2nd December 2010 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas
REASON(S) FOR REFUSAL:
- The proposed replacement dwelling would fail to comply with Housing Policy 14 as it would have a floor area 71% larger than the existing dwelling to be replaced. This would result in the new dwelling having a greater visual impact over the existing dwelling and would be harmful to the amenities of the countryside.
This decision was made by the Senior Planning Officer in accordance with the authority delegated to her under Article 3(13) of the Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
