Housing Policy 15
Housing Policy 15 states that extensions or alterations to existing traditionally styled properties in the countryside will normally only be approved where they respect the proportion, form and appearance of the existing property, and only exceptionally where they measure more than 50% of the existing building in terms of floor space. The officer tested the 60 sqm addition (13.5% increase) against this, noting most existing floorspace predated the policy, and found the design acceptable due to screening and setback.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

Conditional No ObjectionI have no objections to the extension of the single storey annex, I am concerned at the full height extension to provide the stairwell; I'm not sure how this works as full floor plans have not been provided; It does unbalance the principal elevation however, which is the one most easily visible by the public, from the south and it doesn't appear to be sympathetic to this.
