ObjectionThe Commissioners would raise an objection to the following Planning Application:- PA10 00821 - Ms Christina Corkill - Construction of detached garage - Northern Lodge Cronkbourne. An objection was raised as it was felt by the Board that the building would be in contravention of Environment Policy 35, as the design of the building would be inappropriate as it is adjacent to a conservation area.

Conditions requested: The proposed extension must be drained, in accordance with the requirements of the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority; Disposal of domestic surface water for the extension via a private soakaway, located within the rear garden, which must be in accordance with Part H of the Building Regulation; A necessary percolation test must be undertaken and witnessed by the Douglas Borough Council's Building Control Officer to determine ground suitability; The proposed method of surface water disposal contained within the Planning Application is via a piped drainage system connecting to the public sewer. This will only be permitted if the site and or ground conditions are proven not to be suitable for soakaway; There must be NO discharge of surface water (directly or indirectly) from this proposed development to any foul drainage system(s) so as to comply with the requirements of the Department of Transport, Drainage Division and the Sewerage Act 1999
