Time limit for campsite operation
The camp site may be available for use no earlier than seven days before the first practice associated with the TT and with the Manx Grand Prix/Festival of Motorcycling and up to seven days after the last race in each case and the camp site may be erected within three days before this and taken down within three days after this. After the Manx Grand Prix/Festival of Motorcycling 2018 this approval shall expire.

Duty under Tourist Act 1975 to promote tourism; TT demand outstrips supply with sites booked 3 years ahead; fully supports application
support the provision of a campsite in principle
Highway Services have no objection to a small temporary campsite of less than 50 tents; Tourism Division and Regency Travel fully support the application due to high demand during TT and MGP; Michael Commissioners object due to concerns over sewage treatment plant outfall affecting a public footpath.
Key concern: outfall from the sewage treatment plant and its effect on the disused railway line public footpath
Highway Services, Department of Infrastructure
Conditional No ObjectionHighway Services consider that a small temporary campsite of less than 50 tents will not materially effect road safety or create highway congestion on the local road network.; If the daily two way flow traffic, generated by the campsite is less than approximately 190 vehicles, Highway Services have no reason to anticipate the traffic generated as a consequence of the temporary campsite will have a significant detrimental impact on the capacity and safe operation of the immediate local highway infrastructure.
Tourism Division, Department of Economic Development
SupportIsle of Man Tourism, Department of Economic Development fully supports the above planning application.; The encouragement of temporary TT Visitor Accommodation supports the current Visitor Economy Strategy (2012-2015)
Regency Travel
SupportAs the Official Travel Partner we fully support the above planning application.
Michael Commissioners
ObjectionWhilst the Commissioners support the provision of a campsite in principle, the Commissioners are concerned as to the outfall from the sewage treatment plant and its effect on the disused railway line, which is now a public footpath.
