General Policy 2
General Policy 2 of the Isle of Man Strategic Plan 2007 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning provided it respects the site and surroundings in terms of siting, layout, scale, form, design; does not adversely affect townscape character; and does not harm local residents' amenity. The officer tested the roof lights and sun pipes against these criteria, finding their modest size, Conservation-styled design, and location on the sizeable roof plane would not significantly harm the visual appearance of the prominent Victorian terrace or street scene.
Time limit
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
