The comment stated;
We write to give full support to this application which would result in the retention and restoration of this integral part of the history of Andreas and the educational development within the small village at the centre of the parish. The applicants are to be congratulated on their foresight and brave attempt to ensure part of our architectural heritage is saved. Apparently a far cry from the attitude of the church authority who seemed to work on the basis 'we don't need it so let's demolish it.'
We realise the sketch proposed layout is only tentative and results from a request to provide a proposed layout. We appreciate a far more practicable layout could be achieved to better utilize the views and sunshine pattern and would be happy to offer advice if asked. The brick built appendage on the side of the original porch should be removed. This will possibly reveal a built up window on the front elevation that could be opened up to the advantage of both the interior and the principal elevation.
Given there is currently an adjourned application to demolish the building we would ask that this application be considered as soon as possible.
