Certificate O1(i)

We plan to open a commercial laundry on this site once the units are ready and this falls within the remit of the planning permission granted of light industry.
However it has been brought to our attention that since the closure of the launderette/dry cleaning facility on Church St approximately 7 years ago there has been no dry cleaning service in Peel other than a drop off/collect at Top to Toe Boutique on Michael St, and there is only a very limited self service coin operated laundrette with no specified parking.
Our application is to ask for change of use to include these extra services. This will fill a gap in these services as well as providing on site off road parking. We also aim to provide a collect/ drop off service for residential as well as commercial entities and an ironing service.
Since the increase of residential properties in and around Peel there is a requirement within the local community for all these services.
We are thinking of opening from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday, there will always be two members of staff present so the coin operated area will always be manned.
There are other retail businesses in the area.
