Dear Mr. Kermode,
I am the Chairman of Vagabonds RUFC and I understand that you are the Head of Estate Shared Services for the department of Health.
We have previously corresponded with Mike Harrington concerning the "glamping" campsite run by Blue Bell Tents on our behalf on our pitches at Ballafletcher Sports Ground, Hospital Road, Braddan. In 2018 had a total of 50 tents which occupied less than 50% of our permitted area.
I am writing to you as the Department is the Superior Landlord of Ballafletcher and to inform you of our intention to apply for a variation to our current planning permission for 60 tents to increase this number to 120 for the current TT period. No other "glamping" activity takes place on site during the remainder of the year.
The reason for the application is to allow for the increase in popularity of this type of accommodation and to allow for more double occupancy tents and to keep multiple occupancy tents for families. We do not anticipate any great increase in traffic on the site as past experience has shown that the majority of people using this type of accommodation do not bring vehicles to the island, and that the highest occupancy is generally for the middle weekend period after which occupancy returns to a lower level.
If I can assist you further of you would wish to meet on the site please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Gordon Leece

Dear Sophia
I am writing to you as Secretary of BSCL to inform you of Vagabonds application to vary the conditions of current planning permission in respect of our 'Glamping' facility for the TT period.
Our application is to increase the number of tents from the current 60 to 120. This is to primarily cover the central weekend. In 2018 we had 50 tents on site and utilized less than 50% of our permitted area.
The application is for 'Glamping' only and should not interfere with the operations of our fellow shareholders, namely Corinthians FC and Douglas Royals FC.
If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Gordon Leece
