Dear Steve
Apologies for the delay getting back to you as l've been in TT organisers meetings up until now. Just to clarify my initial email to DEFA Planning was to express concern that the basis of the planning application was not correct in that it said that the car park would be less busy as we scale down clinics during TT. In fact we only cancel around 10 clinics across the fortnight to free up our orthopaedic surgeons to undertake trauma.
That being said, we do see an increase in staff leave during the fortnight which will undoubtedly alleviate pressure on our car parks.
I've done a quick drive around the car parks this morning on my way in - although our main car parks are full (i.e. those in front of Noble's), there is space within the peripheral car parks. The Vagabonds car park is around 1 / 4 full at the moment, but what I don't know is if this is the time of peak demand for the car park.
I'm happy to withdraw on the objection on the basis that we monitor the impact of the additional tents on the car park this year and then review after TT/MGP.

Subject: Vagabonds Planning Application
Importance: High
Good Afternoon,
I just want to clarify the position with this, as I understand some discussions have occurred.
The application to expand the number of pitches on the vagabonds site (see https://services.gov.im/planningapplication/services/planning/planningapplicationdetails.iom?ApplicationReferenceNumber=19%2F00238%2FB)
Is to be considered by Planning Committee on Tuesday next week.
It is recommended for refusal because:
Neither the applicant nor DHSC have registered to speak on Tuesday, and the objections have not been withdrawn.
Unless I hear differently (in writing) before the meeting, my recommendation will be as per above.
Kind regards,
Steve
