Good afternoon
RE: PA 23/10071/AIR - Information in relation to Condition 3 for PA
18/00529/GB for a bat survey
The Ecosystem Policy Team can confirm that the Manx Bat Group’s Bat Survey Report
for Cathedral Isle of Man dated July 2023, is all in order and that a suitable level of
assessment has been undertaken.
The Manx Bat Group found no evidence of bats and so concluded that the works can
commence without compensation measures being required. However, the bat group
advised that the slates should be removed by hand and the workforce be made aware
of the potential for bats and therefore the need to make checks for bats throughout. If
any bat is discovered under a slate, the slate should be carefully replaced, work should
stop immediately and the Ecosystem Policy Team contacted for advice on how to
proceed - 01624 651577.
Best wishes
Sophie
