The officer found the signage acceptable in principle as it relates directly to the site's use as a vehicle dealership and reflects its occupants.
General Policy 2
Requires development to respect site/surroundings in siting/layout/scale/design, not adversely affect landscape/townscape/amenity/road safety. Officer assessed signage scale, position, illumination against these tests, finding no harm as appropriately sited, not obtrusive, and compliant with business park zoning.
General Policy 6
Permits external advertisements in towns/villages if high design standard, relate well to building/site, in keeping with area, no highway hazard. Officer confirmed signs meet all criteria: high standard materials, appropriate scale/design for dealership, consistent with commercial locality along Cooil Road, sited to avoid safety issues.
General Policy 7
Generally does not permit advertisements on sites/buildings other than those they relate to. All proposed signs are on the dealership site/building they advertise, so compliant; no off-site elements.
