Memo produces 05.10.2017 Representation from Department of Infrastructure (DOI) - Highways Division. PA Ref 17/00753/B Applicant Dandara Commercial Limited Site Address Park House Isle Of Man Business Park Douglas Isle Of Man IM2 2SA Highway Services Comment made Do not oppose with condition/comment Highways Representation history for this case. DNOC on 19/09/17 DEFER on 14/08/17 Highways Officer HR Highways Officer contact details EMAIL - [email protected] Initial notes and or Conditions (if any) The proposal is to provide an additional use of coffee shop to an office building. To guage the potential impact on the car parking the applicant is asked to provide the expected number of covers or tables within the coffee shop; the floor area of office space removed; the expected use of the meeting room and family/kids room. Highway Services requests that the application is deferred to allow the applicant to consider the above. Chronology of discussion 19.09.2017 - Following the receipt of additional information by email. There will be approximately 70 covers in the coffee shop that requires 17 parking spaces. The additonal information indicates that it is anticipated that many of the customers will arrive by foot; this is not based on any evidence. The parking requirement for the proposed use is very similar to that of the extant use; the pattern of parking will be different with more peaks and flows throughout the day. The current arrangement is acceptable and the proposal is unlikely to generate additional parking and is therefore acceptable. HIghway Services does not oppose this application. 14.08.2017 -
