General Policy 2
GP2 permits development in accordance with land-use zoning if it respects site surroundings in siting, layout, scale, form, design and landscaping (b); does not adversely affect surrounding landscape or townscape character (c); and does not adversely affect amenity of residents or locality character (g). The officer assessed the crane's scale (5.6m high, 10.3m jib) and industrial estate location, finding it non-detrimental and relevant to museum use, thus compliant with these tests.
Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
