Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to make the following comments with regard to the application 17/00205/B (Friary Croft).
See attached.
The fact that the proposed barn has been located away from the trees to the north is positive. Although these are self-seeded trees around a derelict barn (dashed red line), they have become a prominent feature in the landscape. The proposal to plant trees along the western boundary of the field (dashed green line) is also positive. However, this is a very exposed location, better suited to blocks of tree cover than individual lines of trees. I recommend that the trees are planted in a block as shown by the hatched green area on the attached aerial photograph.
