Planning Statement

The Department are refurbishing the exteriors of these properties and as a result are reroofing the properties with new slates.

The burning of solid fuel is reducing in the Department's properties and as a result the chimneys are becoming redundant.

As the continuing repairs to chimneys in their housing stock are a huge burden on the finances of the Department, the Department wish to remove the chimneys and reroof with similar roof tiles/slates and insert a small vent tile/slate.
