The existing garage is largely impractical for use as a parking space with its narrowness requiring the car to be parked tightly to one side in order to allow sufficient room to open the car door to enter/exit the car. There are two cars in the household both of which are used on a daily basis for commuting to and from work and general travel/leisure purposes - it is impractical to have one car on the drive and one car in the garage and often requires that one is moved to allow use of the other car. Parking is severely restricted on Gelling's Avenue with many cars from neighbouring properties in Victoria Road, Cronk Road and the local church using the few spaces available.
