Description of the proposed development. Please state clearly what you propose to do. 1.1. The aim of this application is to provide the supporting information required for a planning application from the Department for Enterprise (DfE) to install a permanent roadway and pathway within Nobles Park. The proposal, already approved in principle by Douglas Borough Council (DBC), would enhance the facilities within the park area and serve to improve the visitor experience for the TT and Festival of Motorcycling (FOM) but also provide a new capability to allow for DBC to host events requiring vehicle access in Nobles Park during the rest of the year. It is accepted that the cost of the improvements for permanent infrastructure would be borne by the DfE and balanced over time against the need for equivalent temporary vehicle track matting and continued rental costs. The route and design specification of the roadway and pathway have been agreed with DBC and are detailed in the explanatory paper. 10. a) Please state the existing use of the site (e.g. residential, office, retail etc.) Public Open Space b) Please state the proposed use of the site.
