The key issue was potential impacts on visual amenities of the street scene and individual building. Replacing existing timber frames with new ones of the same style/design was considered acceptable.

Time limit
The development hereby approved shall be begun before the expiration of four years from the date of this decision notice. Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.
Retention of stained glass
For the avoidance of doubt no approval is hereby given for the replacement or alteration of the existing stain glass windows which are required to be retained (within new timber frames & double glazed units either side) as shown on the submitted documents received on 27th November 2019. Reason: the application has proposed to retain the existing stain glass windows and the application has been considered on this basis only.
