a) 18/00804/B - Colby AFC. 100 Bell Tent glamping for certain weeks of the year.
The Commissioners supported this application.
b) 18/00809/B - Old Chapel, Main Road, Colby. Jane Rosevear. Replacement windows.
The Commissioners were content to support this application provided it was a 'like for like' replacement, as this is a very visible site right on the edge of a conservation area.
c) 18/00677/B - 1 Croit E Cubbon, Station Road. Sue Quirk. Amended plans.
The Commissioners supported this application.
d) 18/00740/B - Praslin, Grenaby Road. Mr & Mrs Letch. Replace render with natural stone facing.
The Commissioners supported this application.
e) 18/00739/B - Praslin, Grenaby Road. Mr & Mrs Letch. Extension to house swimming pool and games room, and conversion of spare room to shower room.
The Commissioners felt that this was an overly intensive development of this tied agricultural workers' cottage and wish to object to it.
f) 18/00134/B - Plot 3 adjacent to Arbory Vicarage. Marbeg Properties. Amended plans. The Commissioners wished to be better informed about what had actually changed on the plans, and were minded to reiterate their previous comments regarding this site.
g) 18/00662/B - 77, Ballacriy Park. Mr Doherty and Miss Sheppard. Amended plans.
The Commissioners remained concerned that this development still represented an overly intrusive development for the site. While the Commissioners acknowledged the amendments were an improvement
they still felt that a lower roof on the extension would be necessary if the application was to receive their support.
I was concerned to note earlier today that the decision on Praslin had been made before the Commissioners had had a chance to comment. This represents a significant development of a property that has already had significant development.
As we received the plans after our meeting on 17th July the Commissioners had not had a chance to consider this application until their meeting this Tuesday. I have produced the minutes as quickly as I could but clearly not prior to this decision being taken. It would be helpful if you could let me know what the procedure is regarding Commissioners' comments, as only a few months ago, I had a complaint from a local architect that because the Commissioners comments had not been received, planners had told him the application could not be considered.
The Commissioners would also pleased if you could let them know what has changed with regard to the amended plans regarding application 18/00134/B so they can better assess the matter.
